In the final section of his letter to the Christians in Ephesus, the apostle Paul urged them to put on the full armor of God, so that they would be able to stand firm. His reason:-
'For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the powers,
against the world forces of this darkness,
against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.'
In October of 1960, Martyn Lloyd-Jones reached this section of Scripture in his preaching at Westminster Chapel, and preached more than 60 sermons on its 11 verses.
