“AND THE JEWS MARVELLED”

The Jewish people - God’s chosen people still have much to teach us today. Jesus Himself was a Jew and the books we value as the Old Testament are still, today, the scriptures of Judaism. So what does this ancient people have to teach us that will help us live as Christians in the modern world?

Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones opens the Bible and brings us four fascinating studies.  His first sermon is entitled “Jew and Gentile” in which he contrasts the difference between these two peoples. The Christian is, he explains, the true circumcision and yet we are still subject to the same errors and problems the ancient Jews faced. In “The Two Mysteries” he examines the new relationship between Jew and Gentile. He also looks at the errors of modern ultra-dispensationalism in a most helpful way. The third sermon looks at the “Feast of Tabernacles”and its relevance and message to us. Christ, he explains, is now “tabernacled” amongst us. In the final message “And the Jews Marvelled” he points to the sense of marvel and wonder that all true believers share. A wonder so great that even the Jews marvelled. These are not only powerful sermons but helpful teaching tools which are ideal for use in personal evangelism.
