Dr. Lloyd-Jones’ exposition of Romans was the major work of his mid-week ministry in London. It occupied him from 1955 to 1968. As he explained and applied Paul’s teaching week by week, the Friday night meetings at Westminster Chapel became high points of new understanding and spiritual growth for multitudes of his hearers.

The Epistle to the Romans has a deep significance for the present day. The sermon form, with its direct address to the listener, makes each exposition both clear and gripping. Thanks to modern technology these landmark sermons have now been digitally restored and enable another generation of Christians throughout the world to be both instructed in the truth of the gospel and strengthened for service.

These sermons have not lost their power, nor that sense of the eternal which was such a leading feature of Dr. Lloyd-Jones’ preaching.
